How to Replace an audi key replacement G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This means that the Crank Shaft is not in sync with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate a chain stretch or a jumped chain link in the upper chain of timing. The code will not appear without the additional information supplied by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It's a bit tricky to test since there are several pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The best method for doing this is to measure the resistance between the ECU and audi remote key the sensor. When the sensor is fully operational, it should be reading around 1000 ohms. Look for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you are experiencing issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a significant reduction in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. When I crank the engine, there are no sparks i put tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline pop out, but the 4th stays closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 i get 0ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is not plugged in and it runs perfectly when it is plugged in however it is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c, even if I unplug it. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I don't know what to do. I feel like i've pretty much all other possibilities out. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. If anyone has suggestions, please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is similar to the G4 sender and works on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily locate the spare in a salvage shop or a parts store. It is easy to test them: simply put your DMM into resistance mode and measure the distance between pins 1 and 2 (with the bump at the connector end facing up). They must be infinite Ohms.
