WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade item increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade item also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item upgrader mod has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will show an item's preview at its next upgrade item level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level upgrade level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance.
