The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

2. Roborock Q5+

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be accomplished easily. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are among the most advanced available however it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the few robovacs I've tried that does an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price price.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The most important feature that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it struggles less with heavy materials like cereal.
